World Showcase of Tea

I don’t know about where you are, but the windchill here this morning was -27. So, I need to warm up, and how do I warm up? Thinking about Walt Disney World and drinking tea, so why not combine that? If you’re like me and enjoy a good cup of tea, both hot and iced, please continue reading and I’ll show you what you can find around World Showcase Lagoon.

The two Specialty Tea locations in World Showcase can be found in the United Kingdom and China pavilions.

The Twinings Tea Shop is housed in an adorable thatched-roof cottage in the United Kingdom where you can find a collection of the most popular Twinings teas as well as tea cups and tea services to remind you of your trip on those freezing cold days at home. And while you can find Twinings Teas at home, if you find one you like here, when you buy it at home you’ll always be reminded of strolling the promenade. Also in the UK you can get a quick cup at the tea and dessert cart.

If you’re looking for unique tea selections, look no further than the China Pavilion. The Joy of Tea kiosk is home to many hot, iced, and even alcoholic tea options. If you’re looking for a sweet iced tea, they have both Peach Oolong and Mango Green Teas. Looking for something colder? They also have Strawberry Oolong Tea Slush and Mango Green Tea Slush. If you’re looking to warm up with a hot tea, here you can grab a Ginseng Oolong, Jasmine, Dragon Well, and Green (Decaf). All of these options are available for a snack credit.

You can make this a stop on you’re drinking around the world tour with a Mango Gingerita (With Vodka and Rum), Canto Loopy (With Vodka and Cantaloupe Juice), Peach Snap!(With Schnapps), Green Tea Plum Slush (With Plum Wine), and you can’t forget the Tipsy Ducks in Love (Hong Kong Style Yuan Yang Drink with Creamy Cold Tea & Coffee Combo blended with Bourbon Whiskey and Chocolate). If you’re not brave enough for the Tipsy Ducks, it is available nonalcoholic as well. There are a couple of beer and wine options available at The Joy of Tea if you’re not looking for something a little more basic.

Most of the other World Showcase restaurants serve tea both hot and iced, some have more specialty offerings than others. All the restaurants in the Japan pavilion serve green tea and a Moroccan mint tea is available in the Morocco pavilion. Tutto Italia has an iced tea with orange and mint. See the menus for more information.

Agree with a tea pot being an excellent souvenir. Its something you can use daily to remind you of the trip, a little piece of Epcot to bring home with you.
