Test Track Renovation Confirmed!

It has been confirmed that Test Track will be down for refurbishment from Easter 2012 until September 2012. The renovation will cost an estimated $60 million. Right now the details of the refurb are unknown but we will keep you updated when we learn more! What do you want to see in the updated version?

So why hasn’t Disney said so????

It maybe true but until we get official confirmation from Disney itself its still a rumour whioch every way you look at it.

Disney may have lost sponsorship of the attraction and may not make an annoucement until a new one, or finalized plans for the attraction are completed.

I heard rumor that it will be changed into more of a NASCAR or Cars theme. Either way would be cool. Just as long as it isn’t closed in January.

I think Epcot would be pretty much dead if Test Track became a Cars or NASCAR ride. It’s going to become neither. The ride promotes GM. They’re the sponsor. They’ve already started putting new paint jobs on the cars. They’re a metallic blue. They have different GM logos on them. I heard a rumor that they want to change the theme of the ride from testing to design and innovation. Just a rumor there. But It seems believable, considering the black and yellow test decals are no longer on the car bodies.

It isn’t confirmation, but I asked a cast member working the ride last night about a possible refurb. She got this panicked look on her face and avoided my question. I could tell I had asked something she was not supposed to discuss. I let her off the hook pretty quick, but I am convinced this is happening.
