Well, it’s that time of year again. The roses are being put into bouquets, the chocolates are on the shelves (for both Valentine’s Day and Easter), and many of us are probably trying to think of plans for a romantic evening with the significant other. Being one of those people who knows Valentine’s Day is coming up and thinking of a romantic evening, I have been working out plans of my own. For those of you who may be going to Disney World during this time though, EPCOT has some romantic activities that you may or may not have considered.
When I think of romance, I usually think of a candlelit dinner and music playing softly in the background. In EPCOT, there are a couple of places I would consider that would match my ideal place. They are Le Cellier in Canada and Le Chefs de France. I know this may seem odd, but let me explain. Yes, Le Cellier is a steakhouse. However, it is also dimly lit, and fairly quiet. The atmosphere and food are amazing, and with having the option of being a two credit meal, you can enjoy a delicious meal that you may otherwise not have considered because of the price.
Le Chefs de France is a romantic option because what other place in the world could be more romantic than France. While you are in World Showcase, you can visit the French pavilion and with the representation of the Eiffel Tower and the ambiance, it is easy to be swept away by the romance. Although being visited by Remy may not be the most romantic thing, the food at Le Chefs de France is incredible. The beef tenderloin is an entree I would recommend, and the puff pastries are sinfully decadent.
While I could go on and on about food, I would be remiss if I did not talk about the romantic aspects of watching Illuminations with your sweetie. There is something so romantic about watching the fireworks over the lagoon from a place such as Italy or between Norway and Mexico while you share a Cloudberry Horn. “We Go On” is a song that Mark and I can relate to our relationship and I get the warm fuzzies whenever I listen to it. I can’t help but smile as I think about it.
Everyone has their own ideas of a romantic evening. I gave you a few of my favorites, or what I would choose to do if I was at EPCOT for Valentine’s Day. What would you choose to do? How would you make an evening at EPCOT memorable?
