Restaurant Review: Tangierine Cafe

I know when talking to the average park guest about dining in Epcot, Morocco isn’t usually the first thing that comes to mine. Before my last trip I was nervous about dining in Morocco and had avoided the pavilion out of fear of the unknown. But, Chris has a passion for Middle Eastern food and I thought this restaurant could get him on the Disney bandwagon.

The counter-service restaurant has the feel of an open-air market with open doors on two of the four walls. The decorations and furniture really make you feel like you are in Morocco.

Chris had the Chicken Schwarma which he liked but it wasn’t exactly what he was used to. It came with hummus, tabbouleh, tangerine couscous, and fresh Moroccan bread.

I had the Chicken Wrap which is served with the tangerine couscous and a lentil salad. I really liked this sandwich and I thought it would be a good for even a picky eater.

The food was good and the atmosphere was relaxed. I would highly suggest checking this place out at lunch time when many of the other CS restaurants are packed. And if you are a picky eater or nervous about trying new foods, go check out the menu. I think you will find something you will like. They do have hamburgers and chicken tenders for the kids as well as several vegetarian options available. If you are nervous about trying some Moroccan food, at least check out their coffee bar and browse their selection of yummy pastries! I’m sure even the pickiest eater would find something delicious there!
