Luckily, Epcot’s Food & Wine Festival is something I’ll be able to check off this year. Let’s take a look at the booths for this year’s festival (of course there will be more on the menus by the time the festival opens. I am only going to discuss what has been announced so far):
Africa features two beverages, Brown Elephant Cocktail and The Wolftrap Red (Syrah, Mourvèdre, Viognier).
Nothing has been announced yet for Argentina, but in the past they offered Beef Empanada and Grilled Beef Skewer with Chimichurri Sauce and Boniato Purée.
Australia has two things on the menu so far: Garlic Shrimp with Roasted Tomatoes, Lemon Myrtle, and Rapini and Pavlova (Crispy Meringue Shell with Fresh Driscoll’s Berries and Vanilla Custard).
The Belgium booth has yet to release any dishes but I think it’s safe to say that there will be a Belgian waffle on the menu.
Brazil has a couple of food items on their menu: Crispy Pork Belly with Black Beans, Onions, Avocado, and Cilantro and Seared Scallop with Ragout of Tomatoes, Hearts of Palm, and Steamed Rice. In the way of drinks, they will offer Cerveharias Kaiser Brewery, Xingu Black Beer and Carnaval Moscato White Sparkling Wine.
Brewer’s Collection has not announced its menu yet, but in the past you could find mostly German beers and beer flights.
The Canada booth has something I am super excited for, “Le Cellier” Wild Mushroom Beef Filet Mignon with Truffle Butter Sauce! I have heard nothing but good things about this dish and can’t wait to try it myself! If you’re looking for something beside beef try the Seared Rainbow Trout with Bacon, Frisee, and Maple Minus 8 Vinaigrette. I imagine Le Cellier’s Cheddar Cheese Soup will also be available.
The Cheese booth will have an interestingly titled beverage: Once Upon a Vine’s The Fairest Chardonnay
The China booth hasn’t released anything yet, but you can expect to find small portions of Chinese favorites.
At Craft beers, beer drinkers can expect Sierra Nevada, Torpedo® Extra IPA.
Dessert & Champagne is probably going to be one of my favorites with a Chocolate Orange Cupcake, Hazelnut Chocolate Cheesecake, Morello Cherry Pistachio Mousse, Dessert Trio. To drink, you can expect a delectable Frozen S’more” Smoothie.
The Florida Local booth features food made with Floridian ingredients including Florida Grass Fed Beef Slider with White Cheddar and Sweet & Hot Pickles, which sounds delicious to me! To drink, I am excited about the Florida Orange Groves Hurricane Class 5, Florida White Sangria! Love me some sangria!
France is another tempting booth for me with Braised Short Ribs in Cabernet with Mashed Potatoes plus Eiffel Sour Slush, Sparkling Pomegranate Cocktail, and Nicolas Feuillatte Rosé to drink.
The Germany booth hasn’t announced any dishes, but I imagine you will see a bratwurst and hopefully some caramel desserts!
Greece hasn’t released their menu yet, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see the Greek Salad and Spanakipita will return.
Hawaii offers Kalua Pork Slider to eat and Seven Tiki Mai Tai and Aulani Sunrise to drink. I like the reference to Aulani, Disney’s Hawaiian resort, at this booth.
The Hops & Barley booth will obviously feature beers. In the way of food, you can expect New England Clam Chowder with a side of Tabasco and Craisin Bread Pudding with Grand Marnier Anglaise. Both of these sound delicious!
Ireland hasn’t released its menu but I’m sure you will find Irish beers as well as some seafood dishes.
The Italy booth hasn’t announced any dishes but I imagine you will see some pasta and hopefully a cannoli.
Nothing has been announced for Japan but I’m guessing it will be mostly sushi offerings.
The Mexico booth hasn’t released any dishes but I imagine guests will find Tequila drinks as well as various tacos.
Morocco hasn’t released the menu, but as in the past, it will probably serve a lamb dish and I’m holding out for baklava!
The New Zealand menu features Venison Sausage and Mohua Sauvignon Blanc.
The Poland booth will feature Frozen Szarlotka (Frozen Polish Apple Pie) featuring Zubrowka Bison Grass Vodka to drink. While nothing has been announced yet for food, I’m hoping for pierogies and kielbasa!
It was just announced that the Refreshment Port will serve Orange Dole Whip served with a liqueur for the festival, just like at Flower and Garden!
The Scotland booth s new this year (in honor of the film Brave) and will serve Seared Scottish Salmon with Cauliflower Puree, Watercress and Malt Vinaigrette, Vegetarian Haggis with Neeps and Tatties (Griddled Vegetable Cake with Rutabaga and Mashed Potatoes), Scottish Banoffee Tart with Bananas, Scottish Whisky Toffee, and Walkers Shortbread Crumbles and Sweet Cream. I have to say, making the Haggis vegetarian makes it a lot less scary, but I imagine many people will still stray away from it. In the way of beverages, guests can expect to see Innis & Gunn® Original Beer, Loch Lomond Cocktail featuring Glenfiddich® 12 year, and Glenfiddich® Scotch Flight (12, 15 and 18 year). I imagine my husband will probably be all over the scotch flight!
Singapore has announced two dishes: Lemongrass Chicken Curry and Seared Mahi Mahi with Jasmine Rice.
At the South Korea booth you will find a Kimchi Dog with Spicy Mustard Sauce and Kimchi.
The final booth is Terre which features exclusively vegan dishes. This year they will feature Culinary Offerings: Trick’n Chicken Curry and a vegan red wine.
There are already too many things that I will have to try at tis year’s festival. What re you excited for? I will be sure to keep you updated as more about this year’s festival is announced.
