In sixteen days, I will finally be back in my happy place- Disney World!! There are so many things I want to do while I am there, and I know I may not have enough time to do them all, so I decided to sit down and make a list of the things that get priority with me. This list will comprise of my top three attractions for Magic Kingdom. Maybe my list of must-do’s will match yours. We shall see!!
My first stop is in the Magic Kingdom. For me, that is what says magic. That being said, I would head straight for Fantasyland. There, you will probably find me at Gaston’s Tavern enjoying a Le Fou’s Brew. I am currently in the process of trying to describe just how delicious these drinks are to my nine year old son, but words can’t accurately touch it. Then, I would head to Mickey’s Philharmagic. This 3-D show is one that never gets old for me. I love that Donald Duck is the star of this show although he shouldn’t have taken Mickey’s hat. This story goes through several of my favorite Disney films including Beauty and the Beast and even includes some pretty awesome special effects. So, if you have not seen this one, I highly encourage you to check it out.
My next must-do in Magic Kingdom is the Haunted Mansion. This attraction is just the right amount of creepy and scary mixed with Disney innovation to keep you coming back over and over again. My least favorite part about the ride is the conveyor belt that you have to walk on to get into your “Doom buggy” but it can be slowed down to accommodate people who have difficulties. However, I love everything else about the ride. As always, Disney uses this dark ride to tell a story about a haunted mansion filled with 999 happy haunts. Will you be one? Nothing gives me chills more than when the ghost at the end says “Hurry back…”
Moving on, I think my final must-do in the Magic Kingdom would have to be Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. I would want to ride this one at night. Let me explain why. Have you ever seen Cinderella Castle at night from the top of Big Thunder Mountain just before you are whisked down the track? It is truly beautiful. Don’t get me wrong, I love Big Thunder Mountain during the day, but at night it just seems more special to me.
So, now you know my top three must-do’s at Magic Kingdom. After all that fun and excitement I may have to go to Casey’s and get some corndog nuggets before I watch Wishes! What are your top three must-do’s in the Magic Kingdom park? Does your list match mine? Would you do something different? I would love to hear all about it!!
