Keep, Change, Remove- Restaurant Edition

So I am kinda on this Keep, Change, Remove kick… Thinking about the attractions and the pavilions got me thinking about the restaurants that encompass our favorite park. I came up with a list of  my K,C,R restaurants… See what you think!

KEEP:
Via Napoli- Classic Italian, and the best pizza on property BY FAR AND AWAY! Not to mention that the waiters aren’t too bad looking either, right ladies??

Garden Grill- Just simple food, a cool restaurant, and fun characters. I never expect much when I go here, but I am always pleasantly  surprised.

Sunshine Seasons- LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!! Always a go to if I need something and don’t have a reservation. So many choices, and such healthy options. I live to ride Living with the Land first, then go eat one of the entrees with tomatoes of the world’s best producing tomato tree.

CHANGE:
Le Cellier- 2 dining credits? Really? I think we can change this back to 1 and no one will complain.

Coral Reef- The ambiance is this restaurant is wonderful… The food however, not so much. Of the 3 times I have eaten there over the past 5 years, I have never been a fan of the food.

Tutto Italia- After an ownership and name change a few years ago, I had high hopes for this restaurant. I was very disappointed when I went back 2 months after the reopening to pretty much the same old thing. I’ll go to the Olive Garden if I want easy Italian food. Give me something unique. Something that I can’t find anywhere else…

REMOVE:

Nine Dragons- I can order Chinese food in my small town in western Kansas, and it tastes better than this place. Not to mention I can get it for about 1/8 of the price. Nothing special in my opinion.

Rose and Crown Pub- Had an absolutely AWFUL experience here last spring. Food was horrendous, and the atmosphere did nothing for me. I know there are quite a few mixed reviews on this restaurant, so I am not offended if you disagree with me. To each their own…

Liberty Inn Restaurant (American Pavilion)- Ok, ok… I have probably harped enough on this one, but I can still think of so many cool restaurant ideas that would represent American fare better than this place.

Ok, so what do you think? Let me know your thoughts. Obviously we have all had different experiences at these places, and I am never afraid to go back for some research eating either. I see a trip in my near future…

    I’m guessing this is Epcot edition?

    Keep:

    Rose & Crown: I love it there. I go to this restaurtant frequently, and I haven’t always had the best service but most of the time I do. It’s a great place for us to sit back, enjoy a nice beer, and watch Illuminations with our dinner.

    La Hacienda: I couldn’t stop raving about this place. The environment is amazing, the food is delicious, and I love the margarita flight. (I’m also a huge fan of the San Angel Inn.)

    Change:

    Via Napoli: Would be nice if they had prices that catered toward a lunch meal. My food was good but the wait staff was not friendly and I thought our bill was way too high for a lunch. We have awesome pizza in NY, and while I agree this is the best pizza on property, there are other places I’d rather eat.

    America quick service: would be cute if they had something like Liberty Tree over here instead, and just some better fun foods to try. It is pretty dull.

    Remove:

    All I can think of is maybe taking out one of the quick services in Future World, and replacing it with a sit down restaurant. Maybe “removing” an empty building and putting in a restaurant. I’m stretching here. I think all the restaurants in Epcot can easily be altered, and not necessarily removed.

    Honestly, I rarely have a bad experience in an Epcot restaurant. I’m looking forward to trying France & Morocco though, and have not been back to Italy since they were under new management. (The last time we went there was DREADFUL.)

    Re: Le Cellier-Disney. Disney would complain.

    I’d make Rose & Crown a change…the concept is fine, but I am willing to accept the point that the food needs improvement…is that singular (though, admittedly big) issue worth a “remove”?

    American Adventure pavilion…I smell brewpub! Maybe import Big River Brewing Works into that space, or at least a counter-service version with All-American brews!
