There are few things in this world that I love more than cheese, and at Epcot’s International Food & Wine Festival this year that I was really looking forward to. Located just outside the Germany Pavilion, this was next to a not so natural grassy area with picnic benches which really made it nice sit, enjoy and take my time eating. And now, onto the food!
Going from left to right in this picture, the first one (which happened to be Libby’s favorite), is a Thomasville Tome’ Sweet Grass Dairy . This was a nice surprise as the honey matched very well with the flavor of the cheese and Libby and I were both impressed with it. In the middle of the plate was the one I was most hesitant to try but the one I enjoyed the most. This was a Chèvre Affiné Wyngaard Kaas (That’s goat cheese to you and me) and the first time I’d ever had goat cheese but I was pleasantly surprised at how smooth and creamy it was and paired nicely with the Crasins. Lastly, Delice de Bourgogne and it was very, very creamy. I cannot think of anything to compare this one to, but the fig that was paired with it helped accentuate the flavor of the cheese. All in all, this will be something I’d order again at next year’s food and wine.
